Twitter Establishes Its Headquarter in Africa To Support Microblogging And Serve Public Conversations in The Continent.

The Social media giant “Twitter” has established its Headquarter in Africa with Ghana serving as the home country for the headquarter in the continent.

In his tweet, the CEO Jack Dorsey confirmed this and said that in line with their  growth  strategies, they are now actively building a team in Ghana in order to be more immersed in the rich and vibrant communities that drive the conversations taking place everyday across African Continent.

Dorsey also announced that Twitter is actively hiring in Ghana for specialists in the field of product design, engineering, marketing and communication, encouraging interested parties who qualify to apply to do so on their career site.

He made it clear that the reason for choosing to do business with Ghana in this capacity is that the country is a supporter of of free speech, online freedom and open internet of which Twitter is also an advocate.

He thanked Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Ado for facilitating the deal. the government and Ghanaians welcomed this choice of Ghana as headquarter for Twitter’s Africa Operations as an excellent development and the confidence reposed on the country.

The President Akufo-Ado also indicated that this development is the start of beautiful partnership between Twitter and Ghana which is critical for the development of Ghana and Africa’s hugely important tech sector.

Dorsey thanked Ghana’s President and assured that this development will support the efforts of to improve and tailor their services across Africa.
